Cruise control display !

Featured Replies

I got my cruise control fitted today .....

Whenever it's activated only one green symbol at the the top of the screen (besides the headlight, foglight on symbols)

I had read somewhere that the trip display replaces to show the speed at which cruise is set ..... I tried modifying the cruise control display via the instruments -adaptation in vcds 10.6
But it shows an error...

Is it possible to do it on my car .... Or I have got the older control unit and it can be done on it .???

Forgot to mention no maxi dot

Mine's the same and I have a non-maxidot FL Octavia with factory fit cruise control.

I think you only get the set cruise speed on the dash pod when you have maxi-dot.

I have cruise control and maxidot - there are no cruise control settings visible or changeable in the maxidot. Just get the green tell-tale light at the top of the panel that you describe.

Are you thinking of the "set speed warning" in maxidot. That allows you to set a speed and receive a warning when you exceed the speed you have set. Nothing to do with the cruise control.

No what you are saying is completely different !

Its possible to do on the newer yeti s..

the trip display on non maxi dot when the cruise is on changes to show at what speed the cruise control is set at !

Hi, as you say the "trip" display does show the set speed when cruise is activated.

Or at least it does on my FL Elegance, it always has and is non maxidot.

Chris

I have maxidot and mine doesn't say the set speed either.

I wouldn't want to be revolutionary but I usually use the big round dial and if the speed limit is 50 then I set cruise to 50. Especially useful through avg speed camera zones when the speedo reads slightly higher than the true speed. You can't exceed the limit. SImple.

Have you made any changes via vcds ?
