LED Bulbs

Featured Replies

Can someone link me to some bright white number plate bulbs that will work and won't flicker? The first set I bought worked fine for a month and then flickered for a month, then stopped working completely. The second set weren't bright enough then just stopped working.

Also, can someone link me to a replacment LED bulb for the boot that gets rid of the yellowness? Same with the glove box...

And has anyone replaced their indicator/brake/reverse bulbs to make them more bright?

Don't bother with numberplate led bulbs because they will all go tits up, I went through 3 and didn't bother after that !

If you insist on them then go to a dealer like BMW who use them in there cars now but they probably won't be cheap !

I'm gonna get on this too, I wanna know a decent LED set too!

Superskoda, not cheap though, you get what you pay for . Hauptman a member on here might be able to get you some also

After loads of problems with flickering LEDs in the number plate lights I got ****ed off with the idea. I thought id try 1 more type and came across these

Had them in since start of Dec and theyve been fine up till now and still going strong.

I wouldn't waste your time or money on external ones tho

Search festoon.

Unless you go to BMW and ask what size ones they use

Anyone else?

BMW sounds like a good shout. Anyone got a part number?

Just ring them up. Claim you have a "BMW" and your bulbs have blown lol, unsure of the size but they will be able to tell you.

Having had two sets of front sidelight LEDs fail within a month of fitting I've given up on LEDs entirely...

My mum has led ones in her bimma so ima pull that apart when I can be bothered.

yeah i recently had this problem i made the company i bought them off send me out 2 new sets free of charge. they recon its down to the rear number plates being on a cam bus system, i work for a skoda dealership and i have looked on manuals, wiring diagrams theres no can bus system what so ever, but they insisted sending me them as i wanted the problem fixed.

so they sent me a high powered set and a set for can bus. and omg there seriously bright.

got them of www.mylitco.com there also on ebay.

hope this helps

Luke just buy a set from Ultra LEDs

I did, they have been on now for well over a year and no problems at all (the working voltage is 11v to 16v)

Can't remember exactly which one I bought because they are different lengths

The only problem with them is that they are way too bright, but having said that never been pulled for them and passed MOT as well.
