OEM Bluetooth - Copy Message function

Featured Replies

I've got the factory fit Bluetooth. This works extremely well with the Nokia I have, but one minor problem I have that someone might be able to help me with.

When an SMS is received in the car (ie: it shows up and is read in the Maxidot display), there is a function to COPY this to the phone. This used to work fine until a couple of months ago. Whilst I get the message 'Copied to phone (SIM card)', I can't find the message on the phone when I later go to read it. Not aware I have changed anything - just no longer seems to work.

Anybody else encountered this?

Is the message 'Copied to phone (SIM card)' what everyone else gets when they use this function?

Thanks.

You need to go into messages then options, then there should be an option to view Sim messages?

Yes. texts are maxidot only and not the columbus screen. Even then the phone usually needs to be in RSAP mode.

My kit displays the texts on the maxidot, but I can also see them on my Nokia handset when the phone is disconnected. I dont to anything, they are just there, same with call history etc.

I've just installed the 7P6 version of the OEM bluetooth, which I now know does not integrate with maxidot. I'm not bothered by this in the slightest as the voice control and touch dialling from the Columbus work great.

However, I've never yet seen any option on the Columbus screen for texts (or should that be txts :dull:). Do I take it that you only see text messages on the maxidot, and not on the Columbus screen?

Thanks

Mike

Yes only on the maxidot....trouble is they will be stored on the car unless they are copied over so you wont know if somebody has text you!
