recommend a double din hu?

Featured Replies

I may be in the market later in the year for a double din head unit which can fit into a mk1 octy.

Ideally would be able to receive long wave and play music from an SD card or similar. Playing dvds would be a bonus, as would ability to hook up a reversing camera.

Bluetooth connectivity, preferably with an external microphone would be great.

What can you recommend, keeping as close to £200 as possible.

It's not going to fit into your price range, but i had a Pioneer HD3-BT in my Pervious car, with Rear Camera, iPod dock, Nav, Bluetooth etc.

It, similarly to the columbus, could store tracks on it's own hard drive, but could also Rip them from a CD! - Really handy!

The last one to sell on ebay was around £400, but there's two on now for around £250. - This was a £1,400+ SatNav!

Well my alpine wa404r is a brill unit but costs about 340 and has no cd player all iPod, but you can attach DVD players reverse cameras, but if your like me and just want a brilliant head unit that plays music it's THE best, my mate has a top of the range jobber 700 plus, yeah alright lots of fancy crap on there sat nav fuel consumption ect ect but even he said mine looks better and is easier to use!
