and here on ebay is a cheaper one.

Search ebay for Skoda Octavia rear light

The one you want is for a hatchback, 04-09 year. You can tell the difference between a FL and a pre-FL as the pre-FL (the one you want) has a red reflector strip across the middle. The FL has a clear strip and no red reflector. The estate rear lights are a different shape so won't fit.

you confused us by the fl badge on your picture of a fl badge on the grill picture

the link won't work so I copied and pasted it and it brought the full link up which says estate at the end , previous posts state that the estate won't fit ?

Iv'e been to a car parts place locally to where I live and they have quoted £47.50 all in which i think is the safest option as I won't have to worry about it being damaged in the post from ebay and having to send it back etc sorry for being pesimistic but believe me I'm 1 unlucky bloke he he he he

Thanks for everyones help .

Just to put the cream on top of the cake the owner of the other vehicle has come round with 3 independent quotes now the damage is this replace front wing new repeater and spray drivers door and wing , here is the photo taken with my phone just to give you an idea focus.jpg

the quotes start at £1300.00 / £700.00 / £618.00 , now he wants this doing asap this week , now unfortunately my money tree in the back grden has not blossomed yet so its an insurance job which will possibly affect my new premium when its renewed . But you and i know its down to the insurances discretion who they use and whether or not the assessor deems the quote to be accurate because surely they will go to the most cost effective quote seeing as they are paying ? is that right :S :S

The insurer will always try to push you towards their prefered repairer, i.e. one they have deals with to do as cheaply as poss, though nowadays you have the right to have the car repaired at the bodyshop of your choice.

I'm happy for whatever they choose seeing as they are paying for it , damage to mine is minimal which can be rectified in house ,

" MY VRS IS A TANK IN DISGUISE " which suits me down to the ground .
