If you got it back as close to standard as you can would it be worth seeing what a stealer would offer seeing as you just shaved off so much? It's so difficult, that's a hell of car for £7000 but people seem to want to go with diesels as I did.

Tim, sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I just sold my BMW last night so now have some cash available and am looking for an Octavia!

Would you mind confirming the Mods that have been done? I'll have to be very careful how I explain it to the wife as she won't be overly pleased with the idea of a modded car so I'll probably dumb down the list a tad but if you could let me know for my own benefit it would be good to get an idea....

I've sold modded cars in the past and it's always a bit tricky as people start to worry about how it's been driven (tracked etc) and obviously there's the added stress on the whole drive-train, engine etc so a list would really help me decide...

Also, is that scratch along the passenger side still there as per the pics? Looks like it was keyed to me so I'd be having to get that sprayed so I'd like to talk to you about it in a bit more detail to see if we can come to a deal...

I was looking for a TDi but as I only do around 8-10k a year I can probably justify the cost difference if we can get to the right deal anyway :-)

I've got a full list going on with a conversation I had with Ben so I'll try and copy that over to you - other than that I've got it on my laptop at home so I can send it over tonight. Probably easiest to back it up with a conversation as I've had the car 3 years now and can talk about it all day

The passenger side scratch isn't a key - it was a thick branch that was sticking out of a country hedge lane, I unfortunately got too close giving way to an artic :( Haven't had a chance to try and buff it out yet so I'm hoping it's better than it looks.

I'll PM you either in a bit or this evening with the info and my number.

Scuffs aside, it truly has been a pampered car and I'd happily sell it onto a fellow Briskoda member guilt free if that makes sense
