Sorry for asking this but Its about the 312 brakes

Featured Replies

Right here's my set up I've got 25mm pcd adapters and 17 inch rims, I really want better brakes, but have no idea what costs involved or the best setup. Could anyone point me in the right direction, just figure if I've made it quicker makes sense to stop it quicker! Also is the mod worth it?

Adaptors have nowt to do with brakes. :) All they will do is push the wheels out more to clear the brakes even further than they would as stock. 312s come as stock on octavia vRS mk1 / Audi TT mk1 / Golf GTI Anniverary (I think anyway) and maybe others. Audi S3 (mark 1) I think is one too.

and there's a set available in the for sale section.

This IMO is an essential upgrade for every vRS owner.....

So do I replace the fronts and rears with bigger disks?

No, fronts only, as they do 70% of the braking anyway.

So I don't need hubs just get brake disks for a octavia MRk calipers off a octavia 1 any thing else?

If youve got a Fabia vRS, then its just a straight swap, no new hubs needed!

Everything you need is in the link I posted (except brake fluid!)

Right so disks calipers any make better than others, I've got a set at the mo and they squeal like a pig. So if I drop these into my mechanic would he know what to do? is there's anything else I could get that would be worth while for the brakes while I'm at it.
