Help needed part 2

Can anyone advise me on this please, I will be going through my insurance to repair a car that my wife reversed into seeing as this is the easiest option because the owner of said car wants it sorting this week , how does it work if its my wife that was driving our car and is a named driver will the claim be against her or me as the policy holder, I don't have any no claims bonus at the moment as when I sold my LCR I did not have a car for 4 years which incorporated the 2 years of not renewing an insurance on a vehicle I lost all my previous full no claims that were protected, believe me I tried to get my old no claims honoured by having a letter from my previous ins and works transport dept but seeing as the van was not for personal use the insurance company I am with now could not accept the 4 years I had used it and not had any accidents. So I had to start afresh. :S

Unfortunately for you, it will be recorded against the policy, but, it was your wife who had the accident, so when insuring next time, you hopefully, as the main driver and policy holder haven't had any accidents, but your wife has, which will affect your NCB.....Take her off your insurance....emoticon-0140-rofl.gif You may still have to declare her accident though if you did remove her.

If your insurance policy includes named driver no claims then it would be agains her no claims but it's still your policy, so thats what gets loaded. If there is not the named driver no claims then she is on your policy so it's all on you.

Sorry

I hear ya buddy !

Whats your excess?

Can it not be done through a local bodyshop cheaper.

If you go through the insurance it could take weeks and then there will be a hire car on top.
