Yeti changes announced at Genea Motor Show

Featured Replies

My statement was meant in terms of factory fit to the new generation of Yeti: that you should be able to get DAB without having to pay for Sat-nav as stated in this thread elsewhere.

Yes, yes and yes again

We are speculating as to whether Skoda UK will let us chose the Amundsen+DAB option here but Amundsen isn't available on the Yeti in the UK on it's own yet is it?

For the first time, two-tone colouring – as seen in the Fabia – will be available. Customers can choose between four different shades of roof, feeding the Yeti’s personality and making striking contrasts.

I remembered seeing this mentioned on the forum before and here it is:

Member Kino noted the four colours: "Most important new option will be a white/black/grey/beige roof option..." So I've made some examples on an Aqua blue Yeti. Probably not the best colour to mix white and beige with but hey ho:

And the same to a Muscovado:

Hi Kev,

yes it's going in a positive direction for once  be to much to hope for though, for it to do it again next week but as they say a glass is half full (as opposed to empty) Be great if they came down the line at the same time

Regards as always,

I think muscavado/black is the only combination I would consider of these!

Black roof is the only combination that works as it blends in with the pillars nicely.

Ian

Fabias with contrast roof tend to be in strong colours (dark blue, red, etc) think there is a good reason for that and Johan has amply demonstrated this by showing a couple of the less bold colours

Bet tangerine and black looks cracking (not that I would have nerve to drive it):giggle:

Ahem my yeti is going to be tangerine, we've always wanted a car that colour(or the bronze colour and this quite similar to it) and thought we'd take the plunge this time, and if the alternate roof would have been available when we ordered i would have gone for a white roof.

I've seen plenty of black, blue, red, silver yeti's around havnt seen one my colour yet I've owned a car with almost every colour except green because the wife thinks its bad luck.

Very true re strong colour contrast: my daughter has a Citroen DS3 with bright red body and white roof, mirrors and fascia - looks wonderful!

at my skoda dealers they had a fabia vrs which was red with white roof and st georges cross on it, my son loved it, he wanted it there and then.

I've seen a Tangerine one in the flesh and it looks excellent, the Yeti suits bold colours. I agree, put a white roof on it and it would look even better.

OK here are the red and white ones (obviously there is no white on white one!)

And the Tangerine version at a different angle (which in hindsight I should have used for all):

Now they do look smart! Although personally I'd prefer the black roof rails.

Are Skoda going to announce a larger Yeti at this show or was that just a rumour?

Just go down the list of threads on the forum! LOL You will see my comment in the relevant Yeti Combi thread!

For those that can't be bothered to search the answer looks like a big fat NO.

I like the black roof on the Tangerine, but need to have a black bonnet as well.

Do I spot TWIN OPTIC headlights ???

Would it then not start to look like a car that has had a crash and then been mended with bits from a scrap yard? Maybe a touch too far or maybe I am too conservative.

I know what you mean but I think the overall styling, ie the all-black (in effect) appearance above the waistline with just the drama of the B pillar showing colour, avoids the 'scapyard' look with a black roof. But I wouldn't have a black bonnet as well!

Different coloured roof =
