Radiator Leaking

Featured Replies

Hello,

Hope someone can help me.

Took my car into the garage (Skoda dealer) today as it had been losing coolant. Turns out the radiator has got a small dribble leak, probably due to stone etc. Any how quoted £300 for it to be replaced.

Does this sound reasonable, looking on line a new radiator is £80 ish quid. £220 seems a lot of labour, is it a big job? I am assuming the coolant has to be drained and reset as well.

Thanks in advance

That sounds ok from a main dealer.

I dont think they will be fitting a cheap £80 rad from the internet.

I would think a dealer rad would be more like £180-200.

The coolant should also be replaced.
