The Fabia's finally back on the road with a new cambelt/waterpump and pd150 hybrid by turbo technics all fitted by Unit 18 Automotive. Really happy with the way the car performs (est 198bhp) Ill have some pictures of what happened to my old turbo and what the new one looks like in the morning

My car is a mess if you look close though no paint on the rear arches, peeling black roof :( one day it'll be spanking

Last night I booted the car a little lot and it went into limp mode(little did i know) :( really thought I caused some big damage untill I checked over and couldnt see anything then drove off and all was well :wonder: Why would it have done this? it rev'd all the way to the red still but just no boost at all. Any ideas?

mine did the same a couple of times after i had the new map on, Spoke to Ben and he reckoned it had a small boost leak so it goes into limp mode to stop the turbo overboosting, funny enough i changed the top boost hose and the little 80degree one out of the intercooler and i havent had it happen again, if you cycle the ignition on an off the power should come back straight away

Another small update, The car wont go into limp mode anymore at 130-150 which is good, I bought a milltek exhaust and got that fitted last night. I'm very disapointed in the sound it makes (sounds standard) so if anybody wants to swap my BRAND NEW cat back milltek for a blueflame be my guest. I've also had my brembo's fitted and took the car to a track day. The brakes are amazing and I can not recommend them enough. Heres a few pics from the track day, more to follow showing the brakes and exhaust.

I was told not to have a straight through exhaust because it causes the turbo to overboost, what I had on was straight through before. Really only after a blueflame system.

Heres the pictures showing the milltek exhaust fitted and how it sits.

I really need to get my arches repaired badly and grille colour coded and mirror resprayed. If anybody knows the ferrare/lamborghini ect approved place in kent or any highly recomended place could I please have some details. Heres some of the damage

Another small mod that some of you may be interested in is the golf blue mirror glass. Small difference but goes nicely with the fabia.

Hi guys, Been thinking its about time for my progress thread so this is it. I welcome any suggestions and all oppinions about my car. I've had the car around 5 months now and heres the story.

I bought the Fabia Vrs SE891 from a old man up in yorkshire for just shy of £8000 with just 24000 miles on the clock and Full Skoda history. The car was completely standard and looked a little like this. (minus the private plates)

My first mod's are a must on any Fabia Vrs in my opinion one is a Leon Cupra R splitter £28 and the other is 6000k HID's, Looks a little like that.

Next mod was the wheels. The standard wheels look so small on the Vrs, especially how high the car sits so I went and purchased these Audi S3 wheels for £180 minus the tyres. Refurbed in dark bronze £100 + paint and wrapped in Goodyear's £190.

Whilst the wheels were being painted I bought and had this painted.

Strut brace

For the ICE I got a cheapo subwoofer and amp and this JVC double din dvd head unit.

I bought some reflective rim tape and the Vrs centers from ebay for silly money and this is how they look.

My next mod was quite a big one. Coilovers! Weitec heicon GT bought from AwsomeGTI for around £450 and I was really impressed.

My next mission was to make everything a little darker, so I went onto ebay.COM- america and bought some headlight tint for around £30 for a meter square.

Another silly mod -

I know somebody with a R32 steeing wheel in his golf so I decided I had to get one but with a little twist. MK4 R32 DSG steering wheel one of 200 made in america $400- around £250 (never mind the carbon wrap)

Shortly after the steeing wheel I purchased a SeatSport Fmic and all appriopriate pipe work and Egr delete valve.

I had this all fitted by Ali at unit 18 along with a remap. I was really pleased with the outcome. My favourite bit about the remap was that the power went all the way to 5000 revs where as before there was no 'gain' by taking it past 4000rpm.

A few days ago from today I had my roof and door pillars wrapped in black. Really pleased with how it looks. £120.

As my car sits now it is on 35000 miles and the turbo has just poped its clogs and im awaiting my winning lottery ticket to fund the new hybrid turbo I have plans for. I also have a Jabba rear anti roll bar and complete straight through exhaust but have no pictures to show unfortunatly. I am currently waiting for my Forge rear strut brace too

I plan to have my chrome grille colour coded and have a better exhaust system made up as the current one isnt making a great sound. I also plan on getting a uprated sachs clutch when I can afford it. I'm sure there is many more mod's Im planning on doing but I cant think of them off the top of my head. I hope you like what you see and I look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions.
