service deal

Got offered service and maintenance for 1.2 tsi £15 pm for 3 years includes everything except tyres do not know if to go for it ?

I have one, same price as yours, and to be fair I was in two minds. Now looking at the rampant inflation we are suffering and no doubt oils etc shooting up as well, I think on balance it was the right choice to get price protected for 3 years. the clincher for me though was once a month I can take it back to the dealer and have it valeted inside and out included in the price. In the middle of winter thats a real bonus

I'm not going to take this up for my car. I don't expect my servicing to cost over £180 a year and there's no MoT for 3 years.

Plus I don't trust them to valet my car without scratching it!

When i picked my VRS up yesterday i was offerred a similar package, just shy of £ 400 up front or £23 deposit and then £ 11 something a month for 35 months. Servicing will be 10000 miles or annual so two type A's and one type B required. these services are supposed to cost £150 and £ 250 respectively plus VAT, so on paper this looks like good value. Have already seen someone say their first service cost £ 188 incl VAT on here a few days ago. So, if you are on fixed servicing, it seems like a steal, or is really just a reflection of the true value of the service?

I would steer clear of these 'offers'. In my experience over the years, I've come to the conclusion that these things are for the benefit of the seller and not the customer.

I negotiate the cost of a service when one becomes due. For 3 main dealer services including a MOT at year 3 I have paid around £450 in total. By my reckoning, this package will cost £540 plus a MOT (total just shy of £600). Go for a package by all means but you will pay over the odds. Just do your homework at service time and haggle hard.

On the Audi A1 they're doing a five year service plan for £250.

They were offering 3 years for similar price on Polos but I think currently it's free with a year's insurance thrown in too. Still chuffed with the No VAT offer on the Fabia though.

i think i pay when due i will shop round thanks!!!!

Well Said Nbramwel.

Was quoted £ 135 including Vat for 1st and 3rd Service, with 2nd being £ 260 including VAT = £ 530 over 3 years.

Service deal i was offered was £ 20 a month, so £ 720 over 3 years.

Did not bother with the small print on seeing what will or wont be covered but maths did not make sense to start with.

Now if i was offered a service deal of £ 299 or £ 250 paid in full up front for 3 years, thats a deal....
