Ballpark figure for 70k Fabia vRS service?

Featured Replies

Hello. Just joined the site (having found it a very useful reference over the last couple of years). Was wondering if anyone could give me opinion on costs for the following on my 06 Fabia vRS? (I usually go to the local main dealer because the car has that history, but I bet this lot would cost me a cartload there.)

I know these are needed:

70k service

Cambelt change

Brake fluid change

New Front disks and pads

Wiper blades

These are probably not necessary, but I'd like to know likely cost:

New rear bump stops (I have been told they're perished)

AC recharge

Any help much appreciated. Car has been well looked-after up to now with no problems.

Probably looking at about £500 for that lot at a main dealer. Service probably £100, cambelt change £200, Brake fluid £50 discs & pads £100, wipers £30 maybe

Thanks for the welcomes - and the info.

The quote for the service is closer to £150, and I was told £320 + labour for the cambelt alone, which makes me think the disks and suspension bits will take this way over £500.

Good to have a sanity check - thanks a lot!
