what model?

Featured Replies

Hi guy's, well yep this is my first post! I have been looking for a decent TDI mk2 for a while now and I have heard about one coming up soon through my partners work, only problem is I'm out of the country at the moment so cant see the car.

All I know is it's a 2007, 1900 TDI in black and it has a cd multichanger. A bit vague I know but thats all I have for now.

If it is a very basic model, how easy is it to retro fit better spec equipment to these cars : like vrs parts, fog lamps, alloy wheels, electrical trick bits etc.

Again sorry for the vague question but I'm a skoda noob and can't seam to find anything by searching.

Cheers

Rob.

Hello and welcome. There are a few things that can be retrofitted such as cruise control for example. Others like parking sensors may require more work. Stereo upgrades should be pretty straight forward take old out and put in new. Some very minor adjustments possibly and a new facia plate. I would imagine new bumpers etc should be a simple swap but having never done one I would ask someone more in the know.

Rob, Hello, given enough time, money and knowledge anything is possible. It shouldn't be too difficult to modify the car, many people on here have done so if you look at the signatures etc. The 1.9 TDI is an engine that is well proven and can take a remap quite well. It depends on what spec the car is as to what you can do to it electrically but quite a few things can be done by going to somewhere like shark performance or finding someone local to you with the appropriate VCDS box and a bit of knowledge.

Welcome to the forum, come back anytime it is a fountain of knowledgable people willing to help.

Ok so I have now found out the car is a 2007 (07) elegance 1.9 tdi in black, which I assume is the better spec model?

Should be getting the car in May, so fingers crossed all will go well.

(let the hunt for VRS parts begin!) lol
