Extended Warranties - Best deals?

Featured Replies

My wifes Mazda 5 is out of warranty later this year & I am faced with the extended warranty conundrum (again). I bought one from Allams for my VRS (was a decent deal - about £430? from memory).

Firstly - do I buy one or not? Yes - I know that's the gamble.

Secondly - if yes - what duration - the car has done less than 14k, so prob about 16k by the 3years being up...we might keep it for say another 2 & take the mileage up to mid - high 20k (don't like the facelifted 5 & the diesel is a punny 1.6 !) - so 2 years seems the best bet.

Thirdly - from whom - Mazda themselves want almost £600 for 2yrs, Warrantywise were about the same, haven't heard good things about Warranty Direct & was badgered stupid when the quoted for the VRS. I remember there was a company called Click4Warranty doing the rounds when I bought the one for the VRS, anyone any experience of them?

Anyway, any thoughts appreciated

I'm in the same boat, spoke to Warranty Direct yesterday after getting a quote a month ago, they have phoned me relentlessly, told them to stuff it due to the ridiculous number of times they have phoned following the quote, verging on stalking!!
