Memory seat not working

Featured Replies

Evening all, not even had the octy a month yet and seen to becoming a regular on here!

Ive got the L&K varient with Memory drivers seat nut it doesn't work at all, press set hold one of the three buttons and nothing hppens, no boing.

Ive done a search and there seems to be a couple of posts stating take it to the dealers and they will re-flash it?

I have VCDS and there module is showing any faults, any idead what re-flash means and if i can do it with VCDS?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Typo (I have VCDS and the module isn't showing any faults)

Hi Daz, I too have the L&K with electric seats, from what you say it sounds like you hold the set button while pressing one of the number buttons. You don't have to do that, you press the set button THEN press the number button you want the memory set to. Adjust the seat first, then the door mirrors, then press the SET button followed by the number button and you should get the boing.

You can also set the passenger side mirror to point down to the kerb when you are reversing, it will then return to the normal position when you drive off or switch the ignition off.

Ian

P.S. reflash just means the dealer checks that the coding is right for the car and resets it if need be.
