problem with lower arm bushes

Featured Replies

But early versions of the mk2 fabia use the same front suspension and bush set up with the voided console bushes as the mk1 fabia and as the op has an 07 plate he will certainly have the old console design which may explain the issue as to why there is a problem this was a known design 'weakness,' my previous mk2 fabia was a 57 plate and had the older console. the bushes and console on the Fabia II and Roomster were changed around 08 reg as it was on the polo etc to try and cure the problem which touch wood they seem a huge improvement.

Hi Fab, yes that's a possibility then that Bruce has them. I don't have a parts list to check. However, there seems to be a complete change of bushes (not the console necessarily) when the Mk2 came in, switching to a different material I believe. The arms and bushes were again changed in '08'. My car has the new bushes and arms. I don't know too if the estate and diesels have differing bushes to cope with extra weight.

Is there a way of checking whether the bushes are old or new version? I bought my roomster in September 08 with a 58 plate.

Hi dibujo, yes your dealer can tell you if you quote your vin number, but I would say pretty much for sure you have the later arms and bushes like me. We are very unlikely to have problems.

OK thanks for the info.
