Probably a daft suggestion but have you set the phone volume setting on the radio as well as enabling the phone input?

Do you have the apropiate relay bypass kit for the handsfree kit? I have the same kit in my car, but I have a pioneer HU. The kit send a mute to the HU, and also had a relay which then flicks over so the phone drives the speakers in the car rather than the HU.

The symphony can take the audio from the CK-7W directly, no need for additional connections. Simply connect the phone mute cable of the CK7W to the mute pin on the Symphony, and the CK7W audio out to the phone input on the symphony. When the phone rings, the headunit should display "PHONE" and the audio should come out of all the speakers. It could just be a simple pin difference between the MFD and Symphony as I had similar issues when I put a columbus into my Octy2.

Arh, I did not know that. Guess the standard HU has one benefit then.
