Delivery expected this week but major problems...

Featured Replies

My new Superb SE estate company car should have been delivered this week, it was scheduled (as far as masterlease were concerned) to be in the dealer in the last week of February for the inspection and then to me early this week.

Masterlease have been in touch. Skoda have admitted they have cocked up and the car isn't available - no date when it will be yet. However, Skoda will supply me with an alternative car free of charge until the Superb is ready. This has its benefits for my company who no longer have to pay the leasing costs but very little advantage for me...

Any idea what the typical alternative replacement car could be for a lease vehicle? I wouldn't mind driving round in a yeti/octavia for a couple of months. However, something tells me it won't be a model that is in demand!

Masterlease did say this seems to be a common problem with VAG at the moment and it's not just Skoda that is affected.

Well, my dealer has supplied a loan car to me under the same Skoda UK customer service plan. I was a bit wary as to what I'd get... I ended up with a 60 plate Octavia Elegance hatch TDI DSG with just 1,000 miles under her belt. I was given a DSG as that is what I've ordered in my Superb... Overhaul can't complain!!

Hopefully you'll get something similar :)

I'd be happy with that, was your Superb order for a hatch or estate?

I'd be happy with a decent spec Octavia estate for a period of time.

I've ordered the estate, but was coming from a saloon, so I'm happy with the hatch for now. There are some requirements for the loan cars; they must be dealer stock, less than 12 months old and with less than 10,000 miles on the clock. In theory though, there's nothing stopping the dealer giving you a Roomster :giggle:
