Or, you could buy two recon calipers from here: http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1903

And some green Hammerite from here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HAMMERITE-METAL-PAINT-SMOOTH-GREEN-2-5LTR-/220741347192?pt=UK_DIY_Material_Paint_Varnish_MJ&hash=item336535a778

and save yourself a fortune.

I did this, and the paint is a perfect match!!

Skoda will charge you about £160 per caliper, this way will cost you less than half.

Also, you'll be able to recondition your old calipers with a recon kit, and have two spares, or flog on ebay.

During my last service, I was told I needed new rear callipers so I went your recommendation of the TRW from AVS (BHN282 & BHN281) for my vrs auq estate. Fitted fine but now I notice that the brake pedal seems really soft! I asked about air in the lines but was assured that they were bled.

Perhaps the master cylinder is leaking but it was fine before they were changed? I also think that the pad seems to be braking on a smaller section of the disc, i.e. less contact than before.

Any ideas? PS I never painted them but will do at a later stage - I just wanted them to fit correctly before I turned them green.

I still have the oe vrs callipers but they would need to be reconditioned.
