RARB on the mark 2 Fabia

Admiral/Elephant.

Not sure on the RARB by itself, but for remap, rarb, suspension etc costing me an extra £80.

Warranty will only be an issue if there is a problem with the suspension and if they try to say the RARB is the cause. But I'll be using coilovers soon(ish) anyway

Would be interesting to see how much quicker your car was round a track with these mods... with brake ducting and better pads + fluid or even a larger brake disc setup also it would be noticably better and coping on the track I'd imagine !

Admiral/Elephant.

This is very interesting.

I am with Admiral at the moment but don't even dare ring them about modifications because they just don't seem the sort of 'mod friendly' insurance company, hence why I currently have no mods.

A RARB would be very good because in my opinion it would improve the safety, the car understeers far too much as it is.

They have a huge list of modifications when doing a quote. The only thing they don't cover for is an intercooler. I was pleased with £80. Takes my insurance up to £480 with hire car.

You're bang on about understeer as well. Solves the problem nicely.

Was this when you bought the policy or did you ever ring up mid policy to add anything?

Last time I rang them was to change mileage and they seemed to barely understand me!

I was with admiral to insure my TT, they didnt like coilovers.

Around 25% increase iirc

I know most people who've had one fitted to the mark 1 are syaing that it does make a difference, but what about fitting a RARB on a mark 2. Would like to know of experienced of those who've fitted one to the mark 2 Fabia.

Get it.......NOW... The best mod you can do your car. Have the same car as you, made a HUGE difference.

Posted a thread a while ago when I fitted it, perhaps if you search, you will find it.

Bgds Dan

Will be ordering one of these as soon as Christmas (I know the dreaded word!) is out the way

Will post more pics soon it is installed :smirk:

do the yellow bushings effect how stiff the roll bar is?

The bar has 3 holes which control the stiffness. If you move it back, the car becomes stiffer.

So from what I can tell you went for medium? (i.e. 2nd hole)
