okay so i need a new gear box which ones fit as the audi tt looks the same and other audis vws any one recomened one to go for?

That's what you need mate but any 02j box will fit but the ratios differ.

and the o2m box thats an upgraded one will tht fit straight like the o2j box? new to tis gear box malarky

Pretty sure the drive shafts are different on the 6 speed.

tbh its a direct bolt on, BUT, bits really need to be changed.

As mentioned, driveshaft, but also clutch, starter, some brackets, etc.

Not as cheap as a straight replacement O2J, but if you where ever to want to go 6spd, then now would be the logical time.
