VRS white smoke, condensation?

Featured Replies

I have recently purchased an 02 VRS which I find fantastic. So impressed with the overall quality, ride and performance.

However, on start up there is quite a bit of white smoke at idle, as soon as you arte driving and the revs pick up its clear (from what i can see in the rear view). after a short drive, 10 miles or so and I return home, it still produces white smoke at low revs when I am reversing onto the driveway.

It is not thick white smoke, it is similar to what other cars are throwing out first thing in the morning. the car is not loosing any water or oil so I am relativly happy thinking it is condensation, but not sure why it is still white on my return home.

does anyone elses VRS do the same?

cheers, Ian

Yeah mine does this pretty sure its just condensation with the cold air etc.

it's a turbo petrol thing and is completely normal.
