Tuning mods Fabia 1.4 16v

Featured Replies

Hi everybody.

Until i can afford a Vrs, any one suggest some cheap tuning mods for my 2000 (w) 60k mile 1.4 16v. Do "Green" filters and enlarged intakes work on this engine?

Cheers.

Darryl.

You'll be able to get an aftermarket air filter - not sure on Green, but I believe K&N do one...basically, just look for filters which fit the 1.4 16v Polo, and you should be right.

An enlarged intake probably wouldn't have much effect on the engine.

Tuning a NA engine is not going to be cheap for the gains...so you'd be best saving up for a faster car... :)

Rob.

The air filter is a different shape on the 16v and doesnt have the same intake as the diesels.

But I believe Green do a filter for the 1.4 16v.

Rob a bank and buy my Fabia ;)

You dont need to rob a bank to afford yours... Tis a very good price

I'd buy your Ross but I can't help thinking it's had 24,000 very hard miles :):D

Mine has a pipercross induction kit intended for a polo... I couldn't tell you the exact one, as I got it second hand from fab16v on here...

Yep. Pipercross AI kit. If I remember correctly the part number is PK049, but I shall check that later and double check for you. I also had a custom made stainless exhaust which had a de-cat. Sounded great and added a bit of power. Was putting out 116bhp by the time I sold it. :D

Looks like this thread may be of some use :D
