Crashed my W Seat Toledo TDI SE on Sunday 23/01, which was a total loss. Knew instantly I wanted an Octavia, as I'd considered these back in 2000 when I bought the Toledo.

Spent hours researching models, checking adverts on net (autotrader, exchange & mart, etc). Knew I wanted the Elegance because of the extra kit and 110 bhp engine (identical to Toledo). Couldn't find average mileage examples of these in my price range anywhere. Only high milers at dodgy dealers and car supermarkets.

I was about to give up and starting to consider newer, more expensive Ambiente models at franchised dealers. Last phone call was to a dealer at Newcastle (55 miles up from where I live) - Hey Presto!

Got exactly what I wanted:

2001 Y Elegance TDI - 38,000 mile, Full Dealer Service History, Dark Blue exterior with Beige interior.

Always fancied the Beige interior, ever since looking at Audi A4 / VW Passat in 1998.
