9.5hrs cleaning excessive? - photos added

Featured Replies

There's *always* stuff you can do, spend time on different areas, improve on previous work etc - so no, that's not so bad :)

Probably if you asked the general public the same question, you'd get a different answer mind you!

Longest detail I've probably put in was on my previous Octy2; reckon that was 24hrs spread over 3 days. It flew by - I was off work for the week, didn't have much else on and the weather was good. Ideal to be spent outside, detailing really emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Hey, how much is your vrs lowered by? looks like a nice ride height.

This thread has a very Volkswagen feel to it.

The whole DUB scene is very alien to me, i like cars because i enjoy the driving dynamics and the speed, and sometime admire the styling.

spending 4hrs cleaning a car has as much enjoyment for me as spending 4hrs bleaching my bathroom and doing the ironing. you do it becuase you have to not becuase you want to!

nothing wrong with looking after your car and protecting ur paintwork but treating it like a vintage watch kept in a velvet box just doesn't seem logical.

Just my opinion at the end of the day but needed to have a rant about it.

for the record i have spent 6hrs cleaning a car before, but thats because it was going to a vintage car show and i went through the interior with a paintbrush, toothpick, toothbrush, teezers and suringe to get into all those awkward plaxces etc etc, but thats because i was attempting to sell it.
