16inch Spyder wheels under 312mm brakes ?

Featured Replies

afternooon everyone, want a bit of advice really.

im thinking of buying a set of 16 inch spyder wheels for my fabia vrs, i already have the 17inch versions but i want to go lower and im due to upgrade the brakes too.

my next plans are to fit the 312mm front brake option from the octavia vrs but will these brakes fit under the 16inch spyder versions that come standard on the mk1 octavia vrs estates ?

any info please tell me

cheeeeerrrrs :)

They will, you've sort of answered your question yourself

If 312's come on a octy vrs, and the wheels you want come on a octy vrs. . . . . . .

....then of course they will fit!

Here's a pic of 312s behind 16" Spiders on a Fabia. It's not particularly good, but the best that I could find....

It is a rather tight fit....

Come on Gareth, effort man!! :)

It's a super tight fit for the calipers:

Think that's tight?? My winters are from the Ibiza Sport, and there is maybe 1.5mm clearance around the caliper. I thought the wheel weights would start catching when I fitted them!

I love how "full" the wheels look with 312's and 16's. Especially spiders cos they show the brakes more.
