hi currently running eibach springs and koni fsd shocks but just doesnt sit right with my 17's so my question is lower springs or coilovers

but i dont want to ruin the ride to much as the roads around me are not exactly smooth

Coilovers. Lower it to whatever Hight you want and will prob ride better than lower springs tbh

a matched spring and damper combo will outperform most coilover kits... (unless your talking KW V3's set up properly)

FSDs dont sit right, had them on mine a few years ago - barely looked lower!

I dont think you can get lower springs, all are around 40mm (25 for vrs)

I have Koni Sport now and it sits great front and rear, although the springs seem softer than Eibachs but thats actually equating to a nicer ride, especially over speed bumps and the like.

I didn't think that the springs that dropped the fabia a lot had any shocks available for them, so even with the kit this bloke has, they'll still be shorter than the shock is designed for?

KW V1's verses a Ibiza tdi on shocks and springs (don't know which tbh) and I'd pick the v1's for comfort every day. But that's down to a large amount of personal preference I guess

coilover ride is there a massive difference in ride between the cheap kits ie jom and the likes of ap and weitec

The more you spend generally the better quality kit you get in terms of ride and build.

The problem is that the FSd`s can raise slightly , then mix it with Eibach springs , that will lower approx 20 something mm , then that is not a big drop

So if you decide to lower to what YOU want , then maybe worth going for coilovers

Good one , not a cheapo one

That will give a bit of decent ride quality

But you will not get ride quality as good as what you have now with the FSD`s and Eibach

Shop around too , dont just go for what a few people rave for
