Radio Signal Booster

Featured Replies

I've had 2 after-market head-units in my vRS and both have had awful radio coverage, so bad in fact that I can't get any other station than BBC 2... I was told by my friend a few years ago when he owned a vRS that the standard head-unit has a signal booster built into them and you need to get an external one for after-market head-units. I put a post up on here a few months back and someone gave me a link to buy one but having tried to fit it today it appears it's completely the wrong connections so I'd like to ask again.

Does anyone know what signal booster would fit and can someone link me to the item on eBay so there's no confusion?

Also, I'm running a Citroen stubby ariel which a few members on here also do, I'm sure this makes things worst but even with the standard aerial I can't get radio stations. Who on here is using a Citroen ariel with no problems?

Halfords do them, £10 last time I got one

Which is a rip off, I paid £2.50 for mine from a local car stereo shop!

Ironic!! Just fitted new stereo and booster signal to my car today.

Got mine from halfrauds but later seen them on eBay for pennies.

Can pick up pretty all local channels and all the bbc's.

Quite hard to stuff it neat and tidy behind the unit though.

Have you got the correct Ariel end to connect booster to cd player?
