here is my atempt. ive only had photoshop for 3 days so dont laugh.

ive gone for the subtle approach, i have changed loads but might be hard to spot some, need to look close!

david, yup using a wacom a6 tablet it helps a lot particularly the pressure sensitivity giving a lot of control over colour variation and stroke thickness compared to a mouse. It made the pic a lot easier as a lot of it was done freehand (hence its nowhere near photorealistic)
