Lost key

Featured Replies

Well some how Ive lost one of my keys, searched everywhere retraced my steps incase lost while walking the dog but cant find it anywhere. I have the spare that has a plastic keyring on it with 3 stickers(different codes/numbers) will this be all I need to get a new key? I know some companys can cut the key blade if you send them a clear photo of the key so more worried about getting immobiliser code. Also Ive heard in the past on some cars they can delete the lost key incase somebody found it, is the true on the mk1 octavia? A friend of a friend is suppose to have VAG com and has programmed keys in the past so gone a try and get hold of him to see if he can help. Will the fob be a dealer only part?

Any help much appreciated

Doesn't matter, its taken nearly all day, lots of walking round, ripping the house to bits and lots of arguments but eventually found under the bed in the spare room! Dam those fairys for putting it under there!

Would still like to know though can an old key be deleted so it cant be used???
