VRS Exhaust Hangers replacement

Featured Replies

Hi Folks thought i would post up this as the job was quite easy and worth it as the exhaust sits where it should now.

Not too expensive either. Purchased from TPS. (came quicker than main dealer)

You need to purchase the rear rubber hangers (that come attached to the metal bracket)

1J0253144J - the rear hanger that sits up near the bumper at £5.53

1J0253144 - the rear hanger that sits up near the rear beam at £3.26

I jacked up the passenger side from the rear (using the TT jacking point rubbers i have) that work great by the way. Then used axle stand as back up on rear beam.

Here is a comparison between the both bushes.

see the stretch in the old rubber mountings

And dodgy cable tie's to try to originally raise the exhaust.

Innovation rules!

I did try a while back but you need the thick 8mm cable ties for added strength ;)
