Xenon headlights

Featured Replies

Evening people. I wondered if anyone has had a problem with the manual adjustment on a mark 1 fabia vrs ? I've carried out basic setting and then adjusted the headlights to raise the headlight beam and when you adjust if it adjusts so much then drops straight to the floor

Broken, Ill happily do a P/X for my non xenon units, Drop me a pm

I assume you're using VAGCOM to do this yeah? As if you just use the knobs on the lights, it'll go back to where it thinks the default setting is (on my Polo it does anyway).

How did you fix it?

How did you fix it?

well i used the diagnostic machine to put it into basic setting for the headlights first adjusted them up to legal requirements but when i went over a few bumps the inside of the headlight kept popping of the adjuster so i put a tiny bit of superglue on the tend of the adjuster so that i can adjust it but so the adjuster and the ball doesnt pop off. even working at a main dealer the xenon headlights are a arm and a leg on its own :( so far so good :) i hate using pikey superglue but there so expensive. it was a last resort.

Can this be done with the H/L on the car? Any pics of the ball/socket location?

i took the headlight out which you have to loosen a few bumper screws and take the headlight washer cover off too (makes life easier) when you take the headight out and take the cover off, twist the headlight bulb connector, which gives you a touch more room/movement. look in the healight theres two ball and sockets, you will see where they are there inside of the headlight if you find the adjusters on the headlight.

sorry didnt take any pictures.
