indicator bulb failure

Featured Replies

Going to work yesterday, I had an indicator bulb failure. The last time I had an indictor bulb blow was about 1982 in my old Cortina, so I suppose I was due. No big deal I thought, I’ll get a new bulb on the way home. :)

Said bulb duly purchased, I got home, a quick cuppa, and nipped outside to fit it before it got dark.

The failed bulb is the N/S/F, so opened the bonnet and thought ...what the!? :o :S :(

How on earth do you get to it? I can’t even see where to get to, let alone reach it. :S So, any tips gratefully received – and, realistically for a first attempt, how long should I allow to do it?

cheers guys

Access hatches are in the wheel wells - once you open them the job is doable without taking the headlamps out of the car.

thanks :)

it looks like the hatch 'just pops out'. Is it a case of prying off with a screwdriver and then just clicking in place to put it back - or is there a knack to this and only one way to move it without damage?

cheers
