Simple question re: Colombus & Phones

Featured Replies

I have two very simple questions (I hope) with the colombus head unit .. how do I stop the very loud 'bong' when it disconnects from my phone ... I have looked through all it's menus and can't find anything obvious !! arriving home late the other evening, my missus didn't hear the car arriving outside the door but did hear the 'bong'.

Also, as we both drive the car, how do I determine which phone the Colombus connects to? She has a blackberry and mine is an iphone, at the moment it automatically connect to mine ... can it be linked to the key (like with the memory seat settings?)

Other than that, 10 days and 800 miles and more and more impressed as I go along.

Mind you, in one day managed to have some clown scuff the paint on the front bumper in a car park and a 'For Sale' sign fall on the bonnet giving a good scuffing. 10 mins in my local 'detailer' and back to new !!!

Is this not a phone setting, rather that Columbus? - I've never heard mine bong.... :S

I dont think you can, or i should say, i've never heard of this... think it's just a case of turning off the Bluetooth, or, upon start up, cancelling the phone connection, and selecting which connection to use.

Al.

The bong volume is altered by turning down the phone volume setting in the columbus menu.

The car kit will always connect to the last phone it successfully connected to, if it cannot find this phone it will connect to any other paired phone. I am not aware this behaviour can be altered, however you can switch phones in the maxidot menu under phone settings.
