I'm not a splitter fitter, I'm a splitter fitters mate......

Featured Replies

and i'm only fitting splitters cos the splitter fitter...........probably charges a lot

anyway my question is:

I have the front splitter but it looks slightly odd when i hold it up to the bottom of the bumper because the shallow gap underneath the very bottom grill is larger than the gap on the splitter (hope that makes sense), is that correct and will it look ok once fitted?

thanks for that...

(i spent ages trying to find a photo like that)

One other question is how long should the stainless steel self tapping screws be and should i use some sort of glue to help it stick or is it not really worth it?

25mm is what I went for. Ideally get higher grade ones which does not rust. Heh. Mine rusted on the previous Fabia, had to keep it on when px..

Drill some pilot holes 1st. about 3mm. Any self tapping screws up to 25mm in length, rustless if possible, stainless ok too. If you can't find rustless screws then dip the screws in Waxoyl to protect them.
