noise and perfomance anomally VRS CR

Featured Replies

any ideas on problem with VRS CR Est man. 21000 miles, a year and a bit old and a month after 1st service.

When I am changing up and disengaging the clutch virtually completely and just starting to press accelerator

I hear a whining sound from engine, I can only desccribe (after a bit of thought) as similar to that creaking/moaning

noise you get from an old tap before the water comes out!.. and the power drops off. Also seem a bit lower on power

accelerating in 5th and 6th when accelerating out at lower revs.

Also dealer cannot see it for at least 2 weeks and am planning to do 1000 miles plus in that time, but at the same time

would not want to damage car if problem is serious.

thanks for reading :S

was the brake fluid changed on the first service?

there was a post recently where someone had something similar and it turned out to be the clutch hadnt been bled properly after changing the brake fluid as the clutch uses it too.
