Whats your budget like? You'll get a set of decent 25mm Eibach springs for around £130, next step is a matched pair of springs & dampers for £300-400, or a set of adjustable coilovers for £200-1000+.

If you see some of the low low Fabias and like them, all i can say is are you sure you won't just be wishing you could go lower if you buy a set of springs :) Coilovers is probably the way forward, then you can match the stance to the wheels precisly, up for winter, down for summer etc etc. But you'll be looking at spending £400+ for some decent ones. Then again, some of the £200 budget coilovers are getting good reviews from people (no experience myself, but i'll probably go down the budget route once DPM get them back in)

I purchased and fitted eibach springs and regretted it - they just didn't drop the car enough...

rite ok , looks and handling am after , dont really want coilovers tho as the roads on the isle off man are not amazing , i was ideally after some 40mm lowering springs . as i did not think 25mm will be low enough.

We are told that 40mm will dramatically reduce the life of the standard dampers....

Why would the condition on the roads stop you getting coilovers? They would ride better than a set of 40mm springs & standard shocks for sure.

It's always best to get matched springs and shocks as it'll give you a better ride quality and also better handling.

Did you have a budget in mind?
