Body Colour Exterior Trim

Featured Replies

i really fancy getting the black rubbing strips/bumper trim painted silver to match the trest of the car and reckon it would look considerably better.

has anyone done this on any of their cars. if so, any pointers to recommended places/costs etc would be mucho appreciated.

cheers in advance if you can provide some help.

My Corrida Red vRS is booked in to a local paintshop to have the front & rear bumper inserts and side rubbing strips colour coded on the 15th July.

This is going to cost me

I can see how they could look better coloured up, but that is until someones scratches them so the paint comes away. Give me black rubbing strips anyday.

Cheers

Should have brought a Magic Black vRS, then it would have been colour coded and saved you

im getting mine done as well but not till ive had an FMIC then the bumper will need painting..

also reckon on about 100-150 ish

where would you get this done paul??

am looking for a reasonable, recommended bodyshop.

Huck - best place I can recommend in the area is a place that was recommended to me by a mechanic.

It's on Greg Street in Reddish, and is called...forget, but you can't miss it, it does accident repair

and has a red cross on the building. I'm thinking Christie's Crash Repair, though that would seem

illogical. :D

cheers rob, that's great!

are they reputable - personal experience/recommended?

I will probably send mine to either Gorners in wigan or a little shop in preston called Crokers...

Crokers have repaired my sisters Polo when she did the classic "the rear wheels follow the front ones dont they" into a car park pillar, and also my dads 5 when someone keyed the boot lid... there work seems pretty good and the colour match was spot on both time.

I went to them for a quote on my Astra, thinking I'd be needing

a new front bumper. He told me the best way to repair it

without replacing the bumper, or indeed having to pay him to

do it...which I thought was pretty rare in this day and age! :D

I've seen work they've done on other cars, looks spot on.

Only reason I went to Horners to get my door fixed rather than

them was the distance...
