Hi all

Just thought i would introduce my self on here after buying my first skoda

Ive allways been a VW lad at heart with me and my brothers all owning a fair few mainly mk2 Golf GTI`S

Over the last few years at many different shows the fabia has allways caught my eye and after a bit of persuasion from the elder bro

i decide to go for the fabia vrs

BEST DECISION EVER!

picked up the car a week ago nice black magic VRS very tidy loads of service history lowered 40mm and a full through puma exhaust system, i`m off work this week so hopefully get modding nothing to big though just a few tweaks here and there.

these cars are flawless, found the briskoda forums to be a big help in researching before buying

Local dealership said it would cost £300 to upgrade my maps and suggested that there are better options them then for this! After lots of online research I decided to update the firmware from H4120 to 5274. I have the zipped file RNS_510_FW_5274_update.iso and have burned this to a DVD at lowest speed. When I put the DVD in the unit (no keys in iginition) it whirs around and then after 20-30 seconds comes back with a CD/DVD error. The unit will play a normal music

A while ago, a car parked behind mine decided to spontaneously combust, melting my rear bumper and the outsides of the light clusters, plus scorching the hatchback. The light bulbs themselves weren't damaged and still worked, as did my aftermarket reversing sensor system, none of the wires were melted. I got a garage to replace the bumper, hatchback and light plastics, but I'm having a problem with the "faulty light" detector as, whenever I turn on the lights, the bulb symbol on the instrume

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. Hi all, Skoda Kodiak 4x4 AWD, and Skoda Kodiak front wheel drive....what codes or description spec's etc. differentiate between them ? My problem is that while my newest purchase of a 2020 Skoda Kodiak , 150 HP and Front wheel drive, is a delight in every way, my car insurance has gone through the roof, and when I queried it, I was informed that one of then reasons for the increase (more than.€200) is that its a 4x4 AWD.
