Arrived at uk port

Featured Replies

The eagle has landed, after spending two weeks in Emden it is now finally on UK soil at Grimsby docks.

No more ship watching

Fantastic news Bassa

James confirmed that they left mine behind on the last Sheerness run :( They appear to only go there once in a blue moon so it's wait and see. Was hoping for a 3.5 week build to collection as with the last Monster but looks more like 4.5 - 6 :swear:

Wife's Fabia on the other hand was on the drive two weeks after build :D

Look forward to the pics in the very near future B)

Fingers crossed its on the next Sheerness bound one for you. The released for shipping to actually getting on the boat appears to be the main hold up en route. Hopefully the Grimsby- transporter- dealer part will be somewhat speedier. Then my DVLA plate transfer fiasco begins and just to help matters along we have three short weeks looming - a four day, a three day and a four day. Hope William & Kate realise how inconvenient it is :giggle:

Not looking good for Sheerness this Week, Main Highway is of to Sweden from Grimsby and the Weser is heading to Grimsby, as is the EMS Highway which birthed in the Skoda rather than VW dock last night.

Are well, you will use a South Eastern dealer :giggle:(sorry James)

Joking apart, you must have a very good chance of being on the next Sheerness bound ship, whenever that is. It appears compulsory that each car spends a frustrating 2 week vacation in Emden prior to shipping out.

Now how long to get onto a transporter in Grimsby?

Hi Bassa,

my last Yeti arrived at Grimsby on a Friday evening and was at the dealer in York Wednesday morning; but as mentioned before wife's Fabia was on the super express service, built on the 24th August and at the dealers on the 3rd September (arrived Grimsby on the 1st.) B) Due to other commitments on our time took delivery on the 9th.

Regards,

TP

I remember Elsie the Helipad arrived in the country only to be promptly buried in snow. Felt like ages before they would transport anything. ....Lol

Just checked the Met. Office long range weather forecast - no snow
