Superb ! columbus navigation system upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2009 new Skoda Superb Elegance fitted with columbus sat nav v3. I recently purchased a v7 upgrade on the internet and when I load it into my DVD player on the columbus system it states that there is a CD/DVD error please check CD/DVD. I received a replacement from the DVD supplier but same message. Can anyone offer me advice.

thanks

Sounds like two possibilities - both DVDs were crap, or you might need a firmware upgrade too (to at least 2760).

I had an issue with a V7 map disk, I took another copy using nero on my PC and burnt the disk at a slow speed and that loaded first time into the columbus.

Anyone got links to where these maps can be obtained , on eBay, or otherwise?

Sorry lads

Please do not post any links to/or discuss illegal downloads of the maps, if they are posted then they will be deleted.

yeah i would be interested in a legitimate source for the maps , my dealer quoted me £300 !!!

SKODA Ireland tell me I have to pay for a map upgrade, despite the maps being over one year out of date when I picked up the car, in January. My car, when delivered, was the most expensive car ever sold by Skoda in the country. Very petty, IMO, the least they should do is to bring the maps up to date for the date the car was supplied.

What charges, if any, have UK dealers asked for to upgrade a new car?
