Featured Replies

Hi guys n gals,

The wife and I are looking to change cars in the next few months as we are expecting our first baby in Septemebr and she fancies a series 1 Octavia Vrs but wants a Blue one and do you think I can find one?!?!? Did they do the series 1 in blue or has it just become the colour to have since the series 2 arrived?

Thanks in advance

Cheers guys, thatll be why then. . . .

I knew I'd miss one of the insignificant colours off

Don't forget the white ones were police cars apart from 100 wrc special editions.

The black ones are the fastest followed by the silver ones, next the red ones and the yellow and white ones are the slowest :p

After beating an S3 off the lights this morning, white has just gone up the list. :giggle:

Red ones go faster :)

Yellow ones are the best obvously!

:hides:

Its obvious the black and silver cars are the fastest, the metallic paint creates a positive charge to the air going over the car and creates less resistance. Black is faster than silver as it absorbs some of the positive charge and directs it to the wheels creating about 250bhp extra at speeds over 10mph :)

That's why I painted my grille black - adds 20bhp at least.

Only if its metallic black! lol

I've got a tin of metallic black paint. If i strap that to my roof will that make my silver car as quick as the black ones? ;)

It would seem to be one of the best kept secrets if it does, because a tin of paint is much cheaper than a stage 1 or 2 remap.

oh and it's dulux, so that must be worth another few horses.

You obviously don't know how much paint is over here :D

Sorry it won't, due to the way dulux is made it only gives a few more bdp(braked dog power), plus if the paint is still in the tin the positive charge will be consitrated in one area and may either explode or rip your roof off!
