Hi guys

Just got a Elegance Skoda laura today in silver color. Some things are not happening:

1) I am unavble to roll up or roll down the windows with the remote

2) If I dont wear the seat belt the seat belt light does not come on

3) Can i have the fuel efficency fogures in kmpl instead of l/100km

Thanks

If your car has a maxidot display (large size computer display in blue colour) between the dials then these settings can be altered using this. The windows are listed under convenience, the MPG/Litres per 100km is listed under Units. For the seatbelt chime/light it sounds like the previous owner has disconnected a wire under the seat to disable it, I guess they never used the seatbelt and disabled the warning.

To enter the menu

press and hold the bottom button on the end of the RHS stalk (Windscreen wipers)

use these buttons to move up and down, and the button on the bottom edge of the stalk as the ok or enter key

Or u can read the car manual :)

Except that anyone who has read the bits of the manual relating to the maxidot/information system knows that it is totally unintelligable.

Difficult to determine whether they are describing the standard or the maxidot, in fact the word "maxidot" doesn't appear anywhere in the user manual. Instead the standard system is a "Multi-functional indicator (onboard computer)*" whereas the Maxidot is a "Information display*"

Though they list the options they don't explain very well what they do.

example under the section "Comfort" we get the following

Window op. Here you can set the convenience mode only for the driver window or for all the windows

But what is the "convenience mode"?! I guess it is something to to with one-touch operation(?)
