Featured Replies

Help please !

My car pulls and drives bad/poorly when i´m accelerates and on steady rate.

I have changed the throttlebody and ignition parts (not ignition wires).

I had error codes but they are gone now. But the car is still driving bad.

Where shall look next ??

Cheers

Start with a compression test, you might have a burnt exhaust valve. If all is OK check the valve timing is correct.

Thanks ! I should have a look at it !

Which engine does your car have?

The 3-character engine code can be found on the option label in the boot or in the service log book.

If your car is fitted with a MAF, then I would disconnect it and see if the performance improves. If fitted it will be located on the outlet of the airbox.

Hello !

I forgot to tell, it´s a AEE 1.6 engine.

The car is fine for short periods but the error recurs from time to time. The whole car jumps and snatches.

I can´t be an valve or ?

Please help

The AEE doesn't have a MAF, so it can't be that.

A faulty fuel pump relay is not uncommon and could cause the kind of problems you are having. It's on the relay plate which is above the pedals. It's in position 4 (bottom row, fourth from the left).

Hi !

I have checked the fuelpump realy today and it´s working fine,

It sounds at times from the exhaust pipe that would be bad mixture between air and gasoline.. Can the lamba be wrong even if I haven´t a faultcode ?
