My original key fob packed up and doesnt work anymore.

I bought a new fob off ebay and took it to the dealer to program but they werent able to get the central locking working

I then got a mechanic to look at it and his read outs shown that it was matched to the car but it still wouldnt work the central locking

Anyone have a simiar issue or any advice?

are you sure you have the correct part number keyfob if it is wrong it might be operating on the wrong frequency, so it is matched to the car but unable to communicate correctly with the cc unit.

if you separate the key from the fob section the part number and frequency should be printed on the side of the fob.

Yeah their 2 different part numbers

I think I can see why the original fob isnt working now

On the side where the battery is the little metal part is not touching the battery so the electronics is getting no power

Can you bend the metal to touch the battery or use the metal from the new keyfob.

Thats wat I have done but the metal wont bend, i have put the other battery side to the right fob but now none will work, red led on the fob wont light now

Got it working!!

The motherboard was loose so I got back in place and put the battery side from the other fob, reprgrammed and violla!!
