Bronze 110 tdi ordered today...

Featured Replies

Its not going to get to me before September, so hopefully will get to see some official pics in this colour before then!! lol

Sounds nice, I tried to persuade my parents to get a Bronze one but to no avail! Steel Grey for them!

Was your retailer able to show you a proper colour sample?

Nice one. Well done!

Make sure you get a photo of it on here as soon as you get it.

My dealer has since phoned as skoda will not accept orders for this colour until week 39! Would be looking at March 2012 delivery, so I have changed colour to Muscovado...

Sorry to hear you couldn't get the colour you wanted.

So with 5 month waiting lists, who WILL be able to buy the Bronze Yetis they will supposedly be making from week 39?? It seems to me that if you can't pre-order a known additional option or colour that they won't be able to sell them for a further 5 months. And by the time you can order them, they could have deleted the colour again anyway!!

It makes you wonder which is the more exclusive brand amongst VAG now, Skoda or Audi (who can supply cars within 2 months in any colour and spec you want).

Indeed. It is farcical, as has often been pointed out in these pages, that Skoda have an excellent product-range but few marketing or customer-relation skills. Regrettably, this may result in customers deserting the marque - and then a downward spiral of weaker products because of a declining market-share - simply because they cannot get straightforward information (or straight answers to reasonable questions) about what they are trying to purchase.

I really think that the management of Skoda UK - whatever their actual relationship to the parent company is - should put its head above the parapet, admit the manifold problems re communication, advertising etc. that are well documented on this site, and fight for a better deal for their UK customers. It's not good enough to endlessly whinge 'We can't get the information from the Czech Republic': in that case, they are incompetent managers and should resign. It seems to me that, like too many people these days, they are prepared to take what is no doubt a very nice salary and all the perks that go with the job while actually doing b****r all to serve the interest of their customers.

Meldrew rant over - and, as you've probably guessed, no I didn't watch this morning's expensive farce in Westminster!
