front passenger stuck down

Featured Replies

hi my front passenegr window went snap today, and fell down... i can pull the window up and wedge it so it sticks to the top, but the button doesnt do anything. any ideas what the problem is ? would it be the runners or motor or what ?

what sort of price am i looking at for parts ? and how easy is it to do ?

thanks

billy

If it's anything like my Polo, a small clip can break on the wires that move it (I think) and thus nothing happens. Or the wires pop off the runners. Seems to be a common VAG issue sadly. Not much more I can help with really - if you haven't already a search on here or google should throw up something I'd expect.

I'm waiting for mine to do this - just a matter of time sadly.

Edit - I think parts are around £80 ish.

Yeah, I had the same thing happen on my old Polo.

The parts came to about £55, and the Fabia shouldn't be much more expensive, however on the Fabia, the panel in the door is riveted in place rather than bolts like it was on the Polo.

The following videos should give you an idea on what's what
