driveshaft wobbly!

Featured Replies

I got a bit of play in my nearside driveshaft, knocks a bit when driving. Is this a relativly straight forward job? Do I need new bits or will scrappy bits be ok? There is movement at the gearbox and the hub end.

is this knocking not a cv joint gone? what are the cv boots like?

tbh i personally wouldn't bother with a scrap yard driveshaft, you can get exchange re-con units from most motor factors which will come ready to fit..

don't forget you need to drain the oil out the gearbox before you whip the shaft out (unless of course you want gear oil on your garden path)
