Hi. I have recently changed my alternator. At first all good, but then there is no battery light when ignition is on. Also sometimes the battery light flickers and there is a beeping sound. Am gonna take it back to the place I had it done but any help would be appreciated.

Check the wiring at the plugs on the front of the gearbox. You may find the one of the wires (blue one) which comes from the alternator is broken.

Thanks for the advice. Does that mean the alternator is not charging the battery? Is it ok to drive till I have it looked at tomorrow?

Yes, will be okay. Will kick in some charge when the engine is revved up a bit.

what is the brown wire on that plug?

the blue one is ok, but the brown one is broke on the wifes vrs,

both go to the alternator
